Christian Marc was born and raised in the City of Lights - Paris, France. Growing up surrounded by art and beauty, Christian felt the intense drive to create with his own hands. At the age of 14, he started studying and practicing in hopes of one day working as a hairstylist.
After spending the first two years of his career learning technique and style on his own, he got a proper salon job. His first full time boss also happened to be the Art Director for CARITA Paris who was in town to work on the fashion shows for YSL, Martin Margiela, Kenzo, Thierry Mugler, and Betsey Johnson. Christian was invited to assist on the shows, an amazing opportunity for someone his age that spoke volumes about the skills and talent that he possessed as an up and coming hair-stylist.
As Christian’s reputation grew, he turned his attention away from his salon work and began focusing more on the freelance side of his career. In the past year his work has appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, ELLE, Lucky, Rolling Stone, Grazia, Rouge and YRB.
Wanting to capitalize on his popularity, Christian relocated to New York where he explored new aspects of the fashion and advertising industries.
His recent clients have included WESC, Napolean Perdis, Aveeno, Target and Heineken.
After coming to Los Angeles, Christian has built a following of some of today’s brightest stars. In the past year, Christian has styled Rosario Dawson, Chloe Sevigny, Helena Bonham Carter, Adam Lambert, Victoria Justice, Sophia Bush, Odette Yustman and Corinne Bailey Rae to name a few.
Christian now resides in Silverlake.
