Wardrobe

Eddie Schachnow was born and raised in Los Angeles where, at an early age he became fascinated with clothing and fashion in general. Some say it's never too early to learn a trade and Eddie put that theory into action when he started dressing himself and picking out his outfits for kindergarten. His beginning interests in how clothes fit, how they should look and what the overall presentation said about him was lost on his peers as well as his immediate family. "No one could understand the passion that I had for wardrobe" Eddie says. "While other kids were outside climbing trees and playing sports I was literally in my closet putting together outfits for myself. Some days I would change my clothes three different times just to keep my look fresh. I guess that is how I earned the nickname 'Fancy Pants' in my neighborhood."

Eddie's ongoing love for fashion carried through high school where upon graduating he moved to New York to pursue an education in fashion design at F.I.T. Once armed with the knowledge and history of fashion design Eddie moved back to LA where he soon started working as a freelance fashion stylist.

Eddie’s love of fashion and dedication to his craft have paid off in ways that he never could have imagined when he was just a child organizing his chest of drawers.  To date he has worked on national advertising campaigns for Neiman Marcus, GAP Kids, Nike, Old Navy, Target, Levi’s, BMW, Amazon, Apple and Payless Shoe Source.  His editorial clients include GQ, In Style, Esquire, Vanity Fair, and of course he wouldn’t be a true Los Angeles stylist without his fair share of celebrities which include Charlize Theron, Reese Witherspoon, Julia Roberts, Rosario Dawson, Denzel Washington, Will Ferrell and Hugh Jackman.
